previous to working in the corporate world cathie worked in academia. she has worked with severely disadvantaged children for years. cathie worked for bp. she also worked for egg as a senior consultant & coach to board members.
cathie has been coaching with the senior ranks of lloyds tsb for a number of years, recently with the fsa and with the partners and board of halliwells the commercial law firm.
cathie has highly developed interpersonal skills. the title of a recent chapter she wrote for a published book was entitled ‘management consulting & complexity’ – so she is well used to dealing with ambiguity & uncertainty.
cathie has been working in the area of human development for 21 years. she has been coaching formally for 17 years.
we are proud that cathie has been associated with mermoz for nine of our eleven years.

brian gilmore (founder & transformational coach)

brian has been a transformational coach for 13 years.
previously he worked in some of the most radical organisations in varied industries (finance, publishing, motor) leading organisation-wide change projects and managing large budgets.
even then brian was known as someone who could turn around people, areas and situations with speed and a remarkable skill & kindness with people.
a highly trained and practised coach who also studies and reads voraciously in the area.
brian works with young people and teenagers - particularly those who are seen as under-performing.
a former pilot who now has a huge commitment in the area of the environment.
brian has worked with some of the wealthiest and poorest people in this country & yet treats all his coachees with the same respect and love.

martin has been coaching for 17 years – 13 as a full-time coach.
we are delighted to have martin associated with the company for 9 years also.
martin is always keeping up-to date with developments – he has just completed his masters degree this year.
he is currently working as a coach with a number of high profile law firms and has coached the partners in many law firms over the years: deloittes, linklaters, irwin mitchell, clifford chance.
laura gilmore (director, skills coach & trainer)

laura has designed and delivered hundreds of training events over the last 18 years. she delivers training which elicits comments such as “surpassed my expectations,” and “such a practical course that it’s impossible not to apply it.”
laura has provided skills coaching for 13 years.
laura also works as an interim manager - she created over £½ million savings through the appointment of new training suppliers and the streamlining of training provision for 7000 employees at e.on uk.
laura has worked with clients from both the private and public sectors including dhl, e.on uk and dwp.
laura has worked as a training & development manager, hr manager, and graduate recruitment and training manager for exel, bass brewers and british steel.
